Pastors/Elders in the Bible describes those that are primarily tasked with overseeing, shepherding, & teaching the church. These leaders also must meet the biblical qualifications of an elder or overseer found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9, and take the posture of servant-leaders in caring for our church.
PASTOR ELDER
josh lester
Josh, his wife Rebekah and their 3 children started attending Cornerstone October of 2020. Josh has been a member of the preaching team since (2023) and joined the Pastoral Eldership team at the first of 2025.
Josh and his family live at Laurel Lake Baptist Camp where he has worked in maintenance since 2008. Josh graduated from a three year Bible school in Burnet Texas in 2007 where he learned to preach the Word, but most importantly it is where he learned and began to truly walk in relationship with Jesus.
The Lester family thoroughly enjoys being a part of a “Family Group” and getting to know and serve the body of Christ as a whole at Cornerstone and in their community.
Pastor Elder
Ben Clayton
Ben and his wife Brittany began attending Cornerstone in the Fall of 2012. Over the years, Ben has served in Cornerstone Kids, Abide (Youth), and various adult and college ministries. In January of 2021, Ben joined the Pastoral Eldership team. Ben has been part of the preaching team at Cornerstone since 2016.
Ben and his wife Brittany have hosted and led a weekly family group since 2018. They are both passionate about hosting and doing life with people. They have four amazing kids.
Ben works full-time at the University of the Cumberlands in Student Success and has the opportunity to be an adjunct professor, teaching Old and New Testament to online undergraduate students.
Ben earned a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science in 2010. Then, he continued his education at the University of the Cumberlands to earn a Master of Arts in Christian Studies in 2011.
Pastor Elder & Worship Leader

Jordan began attending Cornerstone in the Fall of 2010 as a college student at University of the Cumberlands. Since June 2016 Jordan has served as a Worship Leader of Cornerstone and continues to do so. Jordan also served as college minister at Cornerstone from July 2017 - May 2021, and in June 2021 Jordan became a part of the Pastoral Eldership team at Cornerstone and continues to serve there. Jordan and his wife Kelsey have been happily married since May 2014 (right after graduating from University of the Cumberlands)!
Jordan and Kelsey love being a part of Cornerstone and are passionate about seeing true and honest life change happen in people by the power of Christ, His word, and in the context of community.
When not at Cornerstone Jordan is continuing working as a disc golf course designer & director of events to serve folks that love to nerd out with him about frisbees in the region.

-Jordan has his BA in Missions and Ministry (emphasis in church music) from University of the Cumberlands

STAFF/DEACONS
We also have numerous leaders on staff who serve in supportive roles within our church, also known as the role of deacon in the Bible (see Acts 6:1-7, 1 Timothy 3:8-13). These leaders meet the biblical qualifications of a deacon, and also serve in roles of servant-leadership within our church. We also have many more amazing people who serve in deacon roles at Cornerstone that we just haven't been able to list here.

jordan jung
Jordan began attending Cornerstone Community Church in 2020 and has been actively involved ever since. She served as the temporary Children’s Ministry Director and administrative assistant starting in February 2024. In July 2024, she transitioned into her current role as office administrator.
With a background in graphic design and a passion for creativity, Jordan enjoys supporting the church’s mission and operations (and geeks out over a budget). When she’s not at Cornerstone, she continues her work as a freelance graphic designer and teaching artist, sharing her love for the arts with the community.

KELSEY INFIELD
Kelsey started Cornerstone Kids Ministry in July of 2016 and served Voluntarily as the director of the ministry for a year and half while working a full time job. Kelsey continues to work full time at University of the Cumberland’s as a Project Manager but still faithfully supports and voluntarily serves Cornerstone Kids and is a major help in all of our church's ministries including a focus on women!
Jordan and Kelsey love being apart of Cornerstone and are passionate about seeing true and honest life change happen in people by the power of Christ, His word, and in the context of community.

DEVON GOINGS
Devon Goings came to Cornerstone as a freshman in college in 2013. He started serving as one of the Elders in 2021 and now is only currently part of the preaching team as he focuses on his doctoral studies. Devon married his best friend Landry in June of 2021.
Devon is passionate about seeing people know and apply the Scriptures.
Devon received an M.A. in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary, and he is currently working on a PhD in Theology.
